Anita started her journey in supporting Education in 1994. After completing her Teaching Assistant qualification, Anita joined Ryton Park Primary School. Having gained vast and diverse classroom based experience, she went on to gain higher level teaching assistant, and leadership and management qualifications.
During her time working with Ryton Park School, Anita progressed to Senior Leadership level. She supported the school’s amalgamation with Manton Infant and Junior schools, and subsequent conversion to Sparken Hill Academy.
In 2004, Anita worked towards a Specialist Teaching Assistant qualification, which involved promoting the role of support staff in schools. Recognising her contribution to this area, she was invited to present at the Royal College of Teachers’ (RCT) Conference in 2005. Following this, in 2006, she was awarded Associate Membership of the RCT.
To support her evolving leadership role, Anita went on to complete her BA hons in Education at Nottingham Trent University in 2011 and a CIPD level 5 HR at Doncaster University in 2013.
Anita felt privileged to join the Fountaindale Special School team in 2015, and has embraced the school's move to join the Evolve Trust in 2021 as The Harlow Academy.
Throughout her 27 years working in education, and over 20 years voluntary service as a school governor, Anita has become a firm believer in learning is a lifelong journey. She is committed to supporting pupils and staff to engage with learning, achieve and exceed their ambitions.
