Linda studied at Coventry University for an Applied Chemistry degree before completing a Master’s degree in Environmental Pollution Control at Derby, and later a PGCE at Brunel University.
Linda began her teaching career in 1998 at a College setting after starting work in Industry in the field of Bioremediation and Filtration. She moved into Secondary Education in 2001 as a Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry and took on her first leadership role as Head of Year.
Linda then moved to a Special School for Deaf children as the Coordinator of the Secondary School and taught deaf and hearing impaired children using British Sign Language.
A move back into mainstream in 2006 saw Linda working as a Head of Science before training to become a Special Educational Needs Coordinator and working in that role for 7 years alongside her senior leadership post as Assistant Headteacher.
Linda has a passion for working with young people that face barriers in their learning and in particular those with LAC status and associated trauma and attachment difficulties.
